Vermont's Covered Bridges

Windsor-Cornish Windsor
James F. Tasker & Bela J. Fletcher, 1866

Town Lattice, 465' spanning Connecticut River off Route 5 in Windsor village. Two lanes, 34 feet wide, two spans of 203 and 204 feet. It is the longest wooden bridge in the US and the longest two-span covered bridge in the world. The fourth bridge at this crossing, it was a toll bridge until 1943.

Because the state line is at the western shore of the river, this bridge is actually in New Hampshire, and only "touching" Vermont.
