WW2 RAF 41 pattern Mae West life preserver :

Hello and welcome to SC Aviation Collectibles store. We specialise in selling mainly RAF flying equipment, aircraft parts and ephemera from ww1 right upto the 1980s. We also sell associated Luftwaffe and US air force collectibles if they come in. I personally have 15+ years of experience buying, selling and collecting aviation collectibles. We stride to provide as best a service as we can to the collector. I always describe and dictate my items with accurate descriptions and will always try my best to help anyone out. We do also buy aviation items, so if you have anything you\'re looking to dispose of or need advice please do not hesitate to contact me. I hope you enjoy my store and listings. Many thanks, Samuel Corke.

WW2 RAF 41 pattern Mae West life preserver. As used and worn by most aircrew and pilots during ww2 and even post war.

This is a lovely example of the 41 pattern Mae West, in lightly used condition. Some minor soiling but overall not to bad. This example is just the bare jacket. The jacket has both of its tie straps fitted. All 4 leg ties fitted in excellent condition. Both grab handles and pouches still attached aswell. The torch pocket in good condition, as is the dye pack pocket flap and pull strap. Really no issues or damage anywhere that we can see, just some minor wear etc from use. All press studs in excellent working condition.

To the rear of the neck section we find the zip that would allow fitting of the inflation bladder and kapok pads. The zip is a nice original Lightning marked example and operates perfectly, allowing access inside the jacket. The jacket is labelled to the interior with nice large A.M crown label and ink stamp, also indicating the size as medium.

Overall a very nice original condition Mae West life preserver, increasingly hard to source. Ideal for a ww2 RAF musuem aircrew display, RAF collection or reinactor display. Postage is available worldwide but please ask for a quote first as it will need appropriate insurance cover. If you have any further questions please ask and I\'ll try and help. Good luck and happy offerding! :)
