DESCRIPTION

Real photo postcard, 3 ½ x 5 ½. Postally unused. Woman holding a Martin D-18 guitar.An identical postcard is used in the Washburn and Johnston book “Martin Guitars, An Illustrated History of America’s Premier Guitarmaker”, which shows a performer identified only as “Vonny” holding her Martin D-18. Ca. 1940s. She is posed in front of a microphone as was common for radio show performers.Exhibits some light avg wear aound edges, remnants of paste and paper from having been mounted in album.
