Document Signed: “Robert Hutchins” and “Theron C. Liddle”. 8½x11. Dated September 2, 1968. Letterhead from the Deseret News. Message in Part: “We would appreciate your permission to publish the above quotation with credit to you”. Robert M. Hutchins (1899-1977) was a college administrator who imposed major reforms at the University of Chicago as both president (1929-1945) and chancellor (1945-1951). Most notable among these changes was the elimination of the school\'s football team and the significant adjustment of the undergraduate curriculum. He also served as the dean of Yale Law School (1927-1929). Theron C. Liddle (1912-1977) was a writer who published a series titled A Thought for Today throughout the 1960s, encompassing a total of five volumes. These books were collections of quotes from notable people that he hand-selected from speeches and publications. He was managing editor at the Deseret News from 1949-1971. Mailing creases. Shipping - We ship via FedEx and USPS. Shipping charges are calculated at time of payment and are dependent on the number of items purchased and the destination shipping address.
