This is an amazingly detailed aerial view of Washington Square Park in New York City. The line art was applied to a cel and the background is done in pastel watercolors which set the grungy ambiance of the film.Fritz is Bakshi's first and most successful film. It was the first cartoon to get an x-rating, and set the stage for the introduction of adult cartoons such as Simpsons, South Park, and Family Guy. It grossed over $100 million on a budget of under a million.
