Interesting Dickinson College pin. Researching the name David McKee Wallace turned up some really fascinating information! Alumni records stateDavid McKee Wallace was from Middleton, PA. He graduated from Dickenson College in 1915 with a law degree. Further investigation lead me to the Middleton Press & Journal, where author Dan Miller extends David\'s story through WWI. I paraphrased the most important information below:In 1917 he was commissioned a lieutenant in the Army through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program. In September 1918, Wallace became part of the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, the final Allied offensive that wouldcontinue until the war’s end on Nov. 11, 1918. Wallace was wounded in three places while fighting in theoffensive. He received gunshot wounds in both thighs and in the left calf.Wallace was honorably discharged from Fort Dix in New Jersey in June 1919.He returned to Middleton, where he went on to become a prominent attorney in town.
Nifty piece of history.
