Edmund Darch Lewis (1835-1910)
Two (2) superior watercolors by a very well-listed American artist (antiques roadshow values his pieces at $6500.00 each!). The smaller painting is signed anddated 1887. They have an excellent provenance with only one owner all these years. We purchased these at a large & impressive Seattle estate sale held by the great grandchildren of"MY DAINTY LADY" 1st place winners of the 1914 commodore's cup from the Watch Hill Yacht Club (founded in 1913). The larger painting is unsigned but Lewis signed just about everything so the signature has probably been matted out. The smaller measures 29" by 18" to outside of originalframe. The larger painting measures 34" by 21 1/2" to outside of original frame. Shippingwill be $24.95 to any U.S. zipcode.
