1931 Vintage Photo by ACME. Franco Giorgetti, 6-day bike rider, enjoying a brief rest, during the current 6-day grind at the Madison Square Garden in New York City while his partner Georg Kroschel fights to keep them among the leaders. Franco Giorgetti was an Italian racing cyclist and Olympic champion in track cycling. Giorgetti was born in Bovisio-Masciago. He won a gold medal in the team pursuit at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. Giorgetti also specialized in six-day racing.
