wow, what a great surprise to find this part printed, part handwritten form from JOHN LINcKLAEN. Please scroll down to the research below to find out how historically important he was in New York history as he was the one who purchased the town of cazanovia.
Large paper deed measures approx 22\" x 18\" which is printed from Linklaen as he sells part of his property for $300 for 75 acress or less.
What is cool is that I assume this man has had so many land transactions that he had his own deed form printed with the words: \"of the first part, and John Lanklaen, of the town of Cazenovia, countyOF madison, and stateof New-York, BY HIS SUBSTITUTE\".
In this deed, BY HIS SUBSTITUTE is crossed out, so we have his original signature/autograph on the bottom.
This contract states:
Contract between Harris Fries of the Town of Plainfield County of Windham & state of Connecticut and John Linklaen of the town of Cazenovia, county of Madison and State of New York...
selling tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the town of German in the county of Chenanga/chenango and state of new york, being the south half of lot....
