It is the earlier of two subperiods of the Carboniferous period lasting from roughly 358.9 to 323.2 million years ago.
I was a Geology Student at WIU in Macomb, Illinois.I broke my sample down from a larger size ( about 10 pounds) to ones that would not weigh as much or cost you as much to ship but still have a great umber of individualBrachiopodsto see.This is a nice sample and has fossils on both sides.The shipping weight is a little over 8.89 oz. so it will ship as 9 oz
I will ship it in a New White corrugated cardboard box.
The cost is about 6.15-6.65, depending on your location.The eats and west coast cost a little more.The box is FREE it ships in.I use new boxes which I gladly pay for to get the sample to you safer and hopefully in one piece.The matrix is not as soft as a regular shale but closer to the hardness of slate.The sample will be padded well and that weight is included in the shipping total.
