Empty cardboard box measuring 6 1/4 inches square x 4" tall, this is a box for the Minneapolis, Minn department store/ready to wear dress shop The Young-Quinlan Co., the box being designed by the noted architect Armand Albert Rateau. Black box with art deco decal in the lower right corner and black and white stripped design aroung the lip of the top lid. Undated but other sellers that have a similar but different sized box state it is from the 1926 period. With this art deco look I agree with this dating. Condition of the box is outstanding-the only small defect I see is that in the decal, right side top, in her head, there appears to be a small piece missing (it also completely blends in with the overall design). From a pet free and smoke free home-the box has no odor. Only square 6 x 4 Young-Quinlan box on .
