A rare vintage straight razor by Wade & Butcher, Sheffield, manufactured in the second half of the 19th century in Sheffield, Great Britain.
The tang features original hallmarks and the iconic arrow stamp, confirming the authenticity and use of legendary high-hardness British high-carbon steel.
Highly prized by collectors for its exceptional cutting properties and edge retention. Blade width measures 17.5–18 mm, wedge grind, English point.
Excellent overall condition.
Expertly sharpened and finished on natural stones (Thuringian slate), delivering a smooth and keen shave.
Condition Note:
There is a minor hairline crack at the bottom of the plastic handle (as shown in the final photo). It has zero impact on functionality and is barely noticeable unless closely inspected. The handle is original, so replacing it was unnecessary as everything functions securely.
The razor is completely shave-ready.
Fully prepared for immediate use right out of the box (only standard strop maintenance is required before shaving).
