Berlin 1936 Olympic souvenir matchbox featuring a printed paper label with the Olympic rings, Brandenburg Gate and inscription “Olympische Spiele Berlin 1–16. August 1936.”The sliding box has purple paper covering, wooden edging and striking surfaces along the sides. It retains its original matches, with approximately three or four matches missing from the original contents.
Condition: Age-related wear, rubbing and discoloration, with fraying and small losses to the paper covering around the edges and corners. The illustrated label remains clearly legible.Please examine all photographs carefully for the condition and contents.The box is made of wood with covered paper.Size: 5.6x3.6x1.9cm. = 2.20x1.41x0.74 inches.
