Vintage Schrade-Walden Uncle Henry 227UH Folding Hunter / Bowie Knife.
Made in Ellenville, N.Y., USA (Circa 1970–1973)
Up for sale/sale is a highly collectible, first-generation Schrade-Walden 227UH dual-blade folding bowie knife. Because of the distinct "Schrade-Walden" tang stamp, this piece is securely dated to the brief production window between 1970 and 1973 before the company changed its name branding.
Condition Details:
• Blades: Features the classic clip point master blade and utility skinning blade. Both blades show honest pocket wear, light surface scuffs, and a natural vintage patina. They have been lightly sharpened in the past but retain excellent profile shapes with plenty of life left.
• Handles: The classic Staglon scales are beautifully preserved. No cracks or deep chips around the pins. The iconic "Uncle Henry" script shield is intact and tightly seated.
• Frame & Bolsters: Solid brass liners and nickel silver bolsters show a gentle vintage patina.
• Mechanics: Good spring tension on both blades (no lazy blades).
• Accessories: Knife only. Leather belt sheath is not included.
