Here we have a clear blown in mold/outward flared lip bottle embossed on one side "R & Co" and labeled on the other side "Floral Queen/Hair Oil/Of Fine Odor/Raymond & Co./Perfumers". Bottle is 6-1/4" tall, 2-13/16" wide, and 1-1/8" deep and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or other damage. The label is about 85% intact and is fully readable but is stained and darkened.
Raymond & Co. Perfumers were located in New Canaan, Connecticut in the early 1860s. I don't think they were a super big company as this is really the only bottle I've ever seen from them, but I have seen a billhead and a few advertisements over the years.
Just a beautiful old hair bottle in that early clear flint glass-may have been blown at Boston & Sandwich.
