You will never find another one of this Norton hard Arkansas in this size. It was from a vintage Norton pike IM313 system.


I have seen many of these blue black type of translucent Arkansas from Norton ( even tho they call everything hard Arkansas), but I have never seen any in this size and completely uniform without any striations or impurities I can detect. The price reflects the rarity and luxuriousness of this specimen. If you just need a big hard ark to sharpen some tools it’s not worth it. Regular Dan’s surgical black will do the job for 300 bucks. This is really a collector’s item imo.
