Michael Bonne is an accomplished American coppersmith known for his handmade copperware and collectible designs. His work has been produced for decades and is highly recognizable for its traditional handcrafted construction.
This architectural bank is formed in the shape of an early American two-story house or schoolhouse and features:
- Embossed windows and doors on all four sides
- Textured shingle-style roof
- Raised chimney
- Coin slot in roof
- Bottom access opening with removable metal plug
- Handcrafted sheet-metal construction
- Original Michael Bonne Made It maker's stamp
- Wonderful primitive / Americana appearance
The surface has developed extensive dark patina, oxidation, spotting and age-related discoloration. I have intentionally not polished or aggressively cleaned it, allowing the next owner to decide whether to preserve the aged surface or restore the copper finish.
