About the Artisan

This piece was built by craftsman Evarist Henke (1934–2025). In his retirement, Henke began building historic buildings and farm machinery models by hand to compliment his wife Nancy's deep passion for local history. The pinnacle of his model-making career came when his detailed replica of the historic Jack Daniel's Office in Tennessee was featured on the 2011 Jack Daniel's Squire calendar distributed worldwide. Henke donated that model to the Tennessee Squire Association headquarters in Lynchburg, Tennessee, where it remains on display in the Jack Daniel's Squire House today.
