This vintage wooden whale art, which measures 15\" X 4,\" is made of hand-carved wood, and has a distressed, whitewashed finish.
The piece is stamped HEPCO on the back. Hepco was a Plumbing & Heating company during the 1970s. In 1978, the property was sold to an artisan named Thaddeus Szeluga, who repurposed the space to establish the Clock & Whale Factory. This specialized woodworking shop created custom wooden clocks and plaques carved into the shapes of whales, utilizing unique pieces of wood. The HEPCO stamp was placed on the back to highlight the history of the converted artist space.
