**Title:** Rare Antique Wheelock Germany Souvenir Salt & Pepper Shakers – San Antonio, TX (Ferdinand Hanaw Import, c. 1900-1909)**Description:**Up for sale is an incredibly rare, authentic pair of turn-of-the-century German porcelain souvenir salt and pepper shakers. Unlike common mid-century Japanese imports, this exquisite set was produced in Weimar, Germany by the legendary Wheelock China Company for luxury San Antonio merchant Ferdinand Hanaw.Because Wheelock ceased its German souvenir imports in 1909, this set is securely dated between 1900 and 1909, making it a true 115+ year old antique.**Features & Landmarks:**
- Shaker 1: Features a crisp, beautifully detailed color depiction of \"Mission San Jose (Second Mission) Built 1718\".
- Shaker 2: Features a scenic layout of \"San Pedro Park, San Antonio, Texas\" with figures in a boat on the water.
- Aesthetics: Gorgeous soft blue lusterware finish with heavily sponged/splattered gold gilding across the scalloped, multi-hole tops.**Backstamp / Markings:**

Excellent antique condition. There are no chips, cracks, structural repairs, or hairline fractures. The color decals remain highly vibrant and intact. The gold sponge gilding shows remarkably minimal wear for its age. Incredibly, both shakers still retain their rare, original wooden/cork bottom stoppers.
