Original vintage Marion Military Institute belt buckle, manufactured by Hamlin Belt Co., Greensboro, North Carolina.
The front features the Marion Institute seal with eagle, crossed rifles, laurel decoration, the date 1842, and the school motto “Truth Honor Service.”
The reverse is stamped:
HAMLIN BELT CO.
GREENSBORO N.C.
Hamlin produced institutional and military-style buckles during the early 20th century, and this example appears consistent with circa 1920s–1930s manufacture.
Heavy cast metal construction with aged brass/bronze-tone finish and original belt hardware.
Condition shows age-related patina, oxidation/verdigris, surface wear, scratches and handling marks. No polishing or restoration has been attempted. Please review all photos carefully for condition.
