Iconic vintage modern set of four chrome wirePantonova cubes by Verner Panton. These have been attributed based uponarchived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs,designer literature, and other materials. Beautiful condition, keepingin mind that they are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Onecube had loose welds and was repaired. Please see photos and zoom in fordetails. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1970’s.

Ok, more like we have a FABULOUS set offour Verner Panton Pantanova chrome wire cubes with black plastic feet to offerto you. Verner Panton designed the modular wire Pantonova line in 1971 and itquickly became the epitome of the whole 1970’s vibe!! The Pantanova sofa wasfeatured in the 1977 James Bond movie “The Spy Who Loved Me,” as the seatingchoice for villain shipping tycoon Karl Stromberg! So, you’re dealing with aLEGENDARY line here!!! They’re very heavy, very versatile, and aside from theirobvious awesomeness, they are ENDLESSLY USEFUL!! Seriously, there are limitlessways to use them. Just a few suggestions would be that they will be fabulousfootstools, wonderful end or side tables, a phenomenal pair of nightstands, stylishextra seating, put all 4 together side by side and create a long, narrow coffeetable or a backless bench, put all 4 together in a square and create adifferent coffee table, stack them vertically and use as spectacular shelving,we could go on and on…
Verner Panton was born in Gamtofte, Denmark and studied atOdense Technical College before enrolling at the Royal Danish Academy of FineArts in Copenhagen as an architecture student. He worked from 1950-1952 in thearchitectural firm with Arne Jacobsen and founded an independent studio forarchitecture and design in 1955 where he collaborated with Fritz Hansen. Heattracted wider attention with the geometric forms of his furniture designs forthe company Plus-Linje founded by Percy Von Halling-Koch. Panton'scollaboration with Vitra began in the early 1960s, when they jointly developedwhat became his best-known design, the Panton Chair, which was introduced in1967. He was awarded many prizes and made many contributions to designdevelopments. Mr. Panton passed away in 1998 in Copenhagen. Vitra's re-editionof designs by Panton, as well as the retrospective of his work mounted by theVitra Design Museum in 2000. Panton's interior installations and designs haveattained legendary status.-Designer’s & Architects.
