We've recently acquired a very large collection of nicely taken snapshot photographs by a Los Angeles, CA. fire engine afficionado who personally photographed a plethora of firefighting apparatus in the Southern California area during the 1960's-80's. The back of each photograph has "THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK" stamps and 5 of them have a 1983 date stamp on the back. We don't specialize in fire engines but have included some info for each photograph. Each early 1980's vintage original Southern California area and 4 Illinois area color photograph measures 3 1/2" x 4 7/8" and this LOT OF 34 consists of the following:
-3 photographs Los Angeles City in fire station parking lot fire engine number 99, 239 and Squad Company fire truck (1/8-1/4 turn view)
-3 photographs Vernon Mack ladder engine, fire truck and ladder engine with crane number E1, H1 and T1 (1/4 turn view)
-3 photographs City of Commerce fire engines and firemen either responding to a fire/emergency or training session (1/4 turn front and back view)
-5 photographs Riverside County ladder engine number 17, fire hose truck number 10A and fire truck number 61
-Ventura County fire engine number 23 (1/8 turn view)
-3 photographs McHenry Township, IL. Mack ladder truck number 1204 and 2 paramedic/EMT vans (1/4 turn front and back view)
-Nunda Rural (IL.)Ford fire truck (1/4 turn view)
-6 photographs old-antique fire trucks (1/4 turn, side, front and back views)
-9 photographs misc. ladder engines and fire trucks (1/4 turn, side and front view)All of these vintage original color snapshot photographs are in good condition for being about 40 years old. They were gently removed from the old cellophane page protected photo album which kept them in good shape all these years. A few of them have a few lite marks on the back not visible on the front.
