An exceptionally clean and well preserved THIRTEEN-INCH BLADE BROAD AXE, almost certainly by the Underhill Edge Tool Company of Nashua, New Hampshire. The words "Edge Tool Co." are imprinted on the top of this axe in the exact style of typeface found on Underhill Edge Tool Company axes. It apparently either received a partial maker stamp or was sold during the many iterations of shifting company names and partnerships of the Underhill edge tool making enterprise and was marked only with a portion of the name. The axe is also marked with the designation "F.C. Con Co.". There are a few flakes from the cutting edge , but the axe is otherwise in superb condition and it has the distinctive "ring" when running the finger over the sharpened edge found on the highest quality axes.
