DETAILS: Original Real Photo Post Card photograph for a brothel Salon located in Wilmington, North Carolina. Dated 1905. Prior to Prohibition in America,many saloons were in fact brothels that served alcohol in a common waiting area. Thisadvertisement RPPCphotographfrom the early 1900s illustrates how unconcerned some proprietors were about being discrete for the services they provided. It was only with the introductionof Prohibition that this practice ended. Card measures 3" 5 1/2" inches. Part of a larger estate collection of early brothel photos that we are presently listing in our store.
