Antique, clear glass, round medicine bottle. "Wm. R. Warner & Co, Philada":
$5.00
This is an antique, clear glass, medicine bottle embossed "Wm. R. Warner & Co., Philada". There is no stopper in the bottle and it is empty. There is a small chip out of the bottom edge of the bottle but the rest is intact with no cracks. The bottle measures 4-1/16" high x 1-7/16" in diameter. I believe this bottle is from the late 1800's.William R. Warner is credited with developing sugar coating on tablets to make them easier to swallow the bitter medicine contained in the tablet! It's always fun opening a new box of stuff that Dad had collected over the years. This box was marked "medicine bottles" and "medical supplies".... Please bear with me since what I know of bottles, is "learn as I go".I have tried to describe any issues with this item as much as possible. I can post additional photos upon request and will try to answer any questions you might have that weren't addressed above. If you want to purchase more than one item, let me know and I will wait until your purchases are complete, then I will send a single invoice with one shipping charge
