DescriptionThis is an antique Cartes de Visite of a fashionably-dressed lady photographed by Truax in Swanton, Vermont. It is in good and solid condition with some mild age-appropriate wear most visible at the corners and edges and a bit tinged and lightly spotted with age. The back of the card is inscribed'Sister Addie's Compliments' followed by another line that I can not make out. Measures approximately 2 1/2 by 4 inches.The photos in this listing were made with a scanner, as I was hoping to capture minute details.PLEASE NOTE that my descriptions of these items are purely objective and not based on any professional standards. Some of these photographs have what appear to be dealer prices lightly penciled on the back. If this is the case, you will see them in the scans. Information from the previous owner suggests that these photos (please stay tuned; there will be so many more!) have been in storage for many years, and that the markings are not recent. It looks as though some could be easily removed if it were desired. In order to preserve the integrity of the pieces, items are sold as found.
As is my custom, items are lightly dusted for photography. A more detailed cleaning or restoration, if desired before use or display will be left to the discretion and super-powers of the buyer.
