Sam Phillips Andover Academy 1798 Massachusetts Senate Messenger Job Des.:
$1250.00
I left Kennebunk and sold my house but brought a lot of the local history to GA in images and documents to be preserved for collectors.
This is a 1798 document written by Samuel Phillips the apparent Senate President on writing the job description for a messenger. Interesting, as it is now a staff of jobs from door opening to building maintenance. Also interesting is Phillips position of a merchant in the Revolution and supplying Washington with gunpowder he made in Andover. Also, he was the founder of the Phillips Academy in Andover MA.
Some seam separation, good condition.
