Village in the town of Hartford, Windsor County

Altitude: 580 feet ASL

From the Natick (and current) name for the river which flows through the village, Ottauquechee, aptly "a swift mountain stream." In 1855 the post office was changed from "Quechee Village" to "Queechy", then to its current spelling in 1868.
