W. Duke & Sons Co Durham Tobacco Cigarette 1885 Signed Letter Cards George Watts:
Please see Wikipedia for the history of these men and learn the history of the birth of Tobacco in the United States. These guys are founders of the industrial revolution and commercial agricultural trading.
Paul Harvey Wright is the addressee. George watts was Co owner with the other mentioned men also American Tobacco Company owner, Watts Hospital in Durham was named for him later became Duke hospitals. He was an NC Legend and Industrial Legend among others. Washington Duke owner. Trinity College was renamed duke university for him. He was also a confederate veteran. And Mr duke trusted Mr Wright with his business overseas and gave him part ownership During this time when they started producing the trading cards and the purchase of the first cigarette rolling machine. . He traveled around the world selling tobacco products and making deals along with representing his company in court himself. One of the founding owners of the American Tobacco Company. I don't know the true value although I know all the history behind it and know it's the only known letter in the PSA/DNA signature archive. This guy was the one that started making cigarettes via machine before they were all hand rolled by women. He also started the tobacco trading and sports card industry as well as one of the twelve original members of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. I need someone to help with this one cause PSA can't even give me a value for submission atm. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks hopefully this will get some ones attention.
