Vintage Space Age MCM Verner Panton Mira-X Fabric Wall Hanging Panel Pair Purple:

Up for sale is a super RARE pair of vintage early 1970s Verner Panton designed Mira-X Fabric Wall Hanging or fabric panels in gorgeous purple! I purchased these from the world famous Quittenbaum sale house in Munich, Germany in 2006. I know I kept the invoice and will post the photo of it when I find it. The color is still incredibly vibrant and in excellent condition still on their original stretcher bars. There is some slight discoloration on one edge of each panel (see photo) and not very noticeable at all when displayed...I assume those edges were the outer edges exposed to light many years ago. I have made sure to keep it out of direct light to avoid further fading or discoloration in the past 14 years that I have owned them. I recall the sale house mentioning that this fabric pattern was manufactured in 1971. Each panel measures 46 1/2” long by 43 3/4” wide by 7/8” deep.

These are too big to ship USPS so they will need to be shipped via UPS or similar. If the buyer wants to arrange a pack and ship with a carrier like UPS, I am totally fine with that...as long as the buyer assumes responsibility for the shipment. I am convinced it would be cheaper and much safer to blanket wrap and ship these using the UShip website (which I use a lot) and I would be willing to arrange on my end through my account at the buyers expense. International buyers please inquire about shipping to your part of the world as these are sizable fabric panels. Of course, local pickups are always welcomed.
