Excellent 22” jointer plane in golden coloured beechwood with smooth patina. The long length of the plane produced an accurate straight edge where boards were to be joined edge to edge.The front is stamped \'W Greenslade, Bristol\' and \'Exhibition Medals, London, Dublin, Paris, Melbourne\'. The Melbourne exhibition was in 1880 so the plane could be from early 1900s or late 1800s.
Handle and wedge are in good condition and there is a 2 ½\" Marples iron, marked W MARPLES & SON HIBERNIA WARRANTED CAST STEEL.
