UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD LANTERN – Red Etched UP Lantern Globe:
Offered is a unique piece of railroad history; a UNION PACIFIC railroad lantern with a Red Etched CNXLantern Globe. The frame is an Adlake 300 Kero and is embossed on the dome “UP.” The frame is in excellent condition, nice smooth metal, stands straight and has no major dents, bent, broken or missing parts. It comes witha correct Adlake 300 fount and burner. Fount & burner are fully functional; wick easily adjusts up and down, and would hold fuel and burn if desired. A manufacture date of 3-41 is embossed on the bottom, meaning it was made during the 3rd quarter of 1941. The Red Etched lantern globe is in excellent condition and is free of chips, cracks, scratches or cloudiness. It is etched “UP” and is the highly desired CNX version, meaning it was made by Corning Glass and has the “CNX” logo cast on the glass. As with any lantern globe that saw railroad service, there may be some roughness or chipping on the rims which will not show when the globe is seated in a lantern frame. Shipping will be $25.00 for UPS Insured Ground, well packed to insure safe shipment.
