Union Home Front Letter from Flora Carr in Lynn, Mass., April 23, 1865 to her brother. Two men were caught rejoicing over the assignation of Pres. Lincoln. One was tarred and feathered and rode out of town on a rail. The whole town is shrouded in the deepest mourning, flags at half mast.
