Richard Kughn, (died 6-8-19), former owner and CEO of Lionel from 1986-1995, brought many innovative ideas and items to the Lionel Table, Began to sale off his extensive collection when his health began to fail. He had previouslypurchased Madisonhardware, NYC, and had moved the train stock and parts to Detroit.
The date this was made may be around 1991. In a phone conversation with the maker, John C. Magnotti, retired now, working with the Mets, he recollects that he built 2 plaques, one for Richard and one for Linda , his wife. He thinks that those two plaques out of the 300 plus that he made, were the only ones with the brass name plates.
This is a rare find, no others exist, it is a rare jewel. It will be insured to ship
