OLIVER WOLCOTT. Oliver Wolcott (1726-1797) was a Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut who also signed the Articles of Confederation and served as a Major General in the Connecticut Militia under George Washington’s command during the American Revolution.

Autograph endorsement signed by, “O. Wolcott,” authorizing a list of claims made by former patriots and loyalists of the Revolutionary War against the estate of Ezra Plumb. The claimers include Reuben Smith and Richard Wallace who fought under Ethan Allen at the Battle of Fort Ticonderoga and James Stone who fought at the Battles of Bunker Hill and Bennington.
