this is a Silver Metal Tumbler/Cup Trophy made by the John Frick Jewelry Co NY, for the Maidstone Club, East Hampton NY, engraved for "Ladies Singles Championship 1953 Runner Up Sue Harris." The club's crest is prominent on the trophy and is detailed and colorful. The metal is probably silver plate.4 3/4" tall and about 2 3/4" wide at the top(Note I have another similar trophy up for offer, made by John Frick Co for the Maidstone Club's Sue Harris in the "1950 Ladies Doubles Championship" She was again runner-up.) this trophy was probably for golf but maybe tennis. The Maidstone Club is a private club in the Village of East Hampton, NY founded in the late 1890's.
