Lowell T. McFrederick Arrowhead and Primitives collection, SE Ohio, 1940-2015 :
My sister and I inherited these from my Dad's personal collection of Arrowheads that he gathered around Belmont and Monroe Counties in Southeastern Ohio between 1940 and 2015. He grew up in a very rural area (Somerton OH), and would frequently walk local corn fields just after they got tilled. He did this from a very young age. Other than his notes of "Good places to hunt arrowheads" and his book on identifying Ohio arrowhead types, we only have our own memories of walking the fields with him as kids, and Dad's stories, but we are convinced these are primarily local arrowheads from the Southeastern Ohio area.
There are two additional small collections (one tray each) included, and that he obtained from friends. One from Mick Van Steel of Van Wert County Ohio, and the other from Virgil & Virginia Watson on their farm located west of Barnesville Ohio on Putney Ridge Road.
This collection has been photographically archived, examined, evaluated, and appraised by Jerrel C. Anderson, of WV (Member: WVAS, ASO, OAC and WVAC), with additional experts like Mark Seeman, Ph.D. Dept of Anthropology at Kent State Univ., Ohio.
Modern points have been removed. Many of the nicer pieces have been labeled with blue painters tape (3rd Picture is an example) to show period/type and/or fair market value.
The collection is comprised of... Ancient Points of SE Ohio, including relics from the Paleo period; Early Archaic Period with Thebes, Lost Lake, Dovetail, Palmer, Kirk, Decatur, Charleston, Kessell, Godard-BigSandy, and MacCorkle Points; Late archaic Period with Steubenville Stemmed, Merom, Adena, Hopewell Points. Also, Fort Ancient, Levanna, Lecroy, Brewerton, and Stillwell points. These ancient points include arrowheads, spear tips, drills, knives, hammers, and other variety of tools.
Here is a YouTube Video of the Collection that I made, so you can see more detail.

Final Comments. The appraiser repeatedly stated during his examination "This collection is an excellent representation of Southeast Ohio's Ancient Points.", so my sister and I believe you will be very happy and excited to own this collection.
