Born 1940 was a Photographer for the New Port News, also a US Veteran with a passion for photography. VERY RAREOriginal photo of the Submarine Birmingham, SSN-695 surfacing with the wave emphasizing its thrust. The USS Birmingham (SSN-695). a Los Angeles-class submarine, was the third ship of the United Stated Navy to be named for Birmingham, Alabama. The contract to build her was awarded to the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company in Newport News, Virginia on January 24, 1972 and her keel was laid down (beginning of building) on April 26,1975. Launched October 29, 1977. Three years later Lloyd Everton, took this photo.
