For sale is one new*: Great Eastern Cutlery Northfield Un-X-LD Whaler Knife #46, pattern #462213STL, unserialized; 2013 Year; Made in USA. *Opened and handled post-manufacture but never used or carried.

This Great Eastern Cutlery Northfield Un-X-LD Whaler knife is in very good, unused condition**. It has superficial handling wear but has not been carried or used to cut. Hinges and blade have been oiled. Blades are 1095 carbon steel and must be kept oiled or greased. The Ebony Wood scales are free from any cracks, save for normal inclusions. Scalloped bar shield. Fit and finish is very good, especially for GEC; there are no gaps of mention. Typical blade rub; not from positioning at rest, but lateral movement when pressing into the nail nick or gripping. Walk and talk is very good; not too easy and not to hard, as you expect from a knife of this size. Can be pinch-opened. Snaps open with authority. Touch of lateral play in pen blade. No blade etchings for this model. Primary blade tang stamped with Great Eastern Cutlery and Northfield Un-X-LD details; secondary blade stamped with pattern number and Titusville Iron Works. Bolsters and liners are steel. A very nice knife whether for collection or carry. This unserialized edition comes without a COA. Tube has a little discoloration***. Please see photographs for details.**A tiny nick in the edge has been polished out. This is a normal issue with the Whaler models caused by backspring contact. The blade should be held during closure and not snapped closed.***Tube is off-white or yellowed. I don't believe this is the natural color; other tubes I've seen are much whiter. It could be from UV. I can detect a faint hint of smokiness, so the coloration may have been caused by a wood stove or tobacco. It's nothing offensive, shall fade, and I can't detect it without touching my nose to the tube. That said, the tube actually looks great, with an antiqued aesthetic that honestly suits the 2013
