GEC #45 Roughneck Knife Northfield Red IPB Jig Bone 452212 Great Eastern Cutlery:
$1,000
For sale is one new*: Great Eastern Cutlery Northfield Un-X-LD Indian Paint Brush Jig Bone Roughneck Knife #45, pattern #452212, unserialized; 2012 Year; Made in USA. *Opened and handled post-manufacture but never used or carried. This Great Eastern Cutlery Northfield Un-X-LD Roughneck knife is in excellent, unused condition. It has superficial handling wear but has not been carried or used to cut. Hinges and blade have been oiled. Blades are 1095 carbon steel and must be kept oiled or greased. The Indian Paint Brush Jig Bone scales and are free from any cracks, save for normal inclusions. Features Northfield shield in the image of a wrench. Fit and finish is exemplary, especially for GEC; there are no gaps; it's the best finished GEC knife I've seen. Walk and talk is very good; not too easy and not to hard, as you expect from a knife of this size. Can be pinch-opened. Primary blade features Roughneck branding. Primary blade tang stamped with Great Eastern Cutlery and Northfield Un-X-LD details; secondary blade stamped with pattern number and Titusville Iron Works. Bolsters are nickel-silver; liners are brass. A very nice knife whether for collection or carry. This unserialized edition comes without a COA. Tube has what looks like a little oil staining. Please see photographs for 2012
