This sale is for the Barry Mitchell Reading Is Magic - King Midas Book Story. This is a used item, yet it is an original Barry Mitchell trick. It\'s no longer made or produced. So, it is a unique collector\'s item.This is a storytelling trick where you play a soundtrack and perform the productions and act out the story according to the music, special effects and narration. It is perfect for a performer who would rather not speak. Or maybe you are someone who wants to perform silently, but not to only music. Of course the library, church or school performer can use it to full advantage because it is so visual and captivating. It\'s a mini-drama you create with magic. This is a beautiful story with a moral as only Barry Mitchell can create. When you open the book, it comes to life as the music and narration starts on your soundtrack. The story is of King Midas, and you become King Midas for your enthralled audience. From the book you produce the King\'s Crown which you wear, and produce loads of cash, gold nuggets, coins, a gold rose, and gold banana, gold credit cards and coins, and more. You produce all these items from the book. The entire script is written on the left side of the open book so you know what to do. Included is the golden banana, cloth roll, coin cup and gold coins (made of plastic), golden rose, Midas\'s credit cards, cardboard pop-up gold nuggets, Gold/Red heart, Spring bills, Coil cup. Included is a USB drive with the performance instructions and video of actual performance, as well as the soundtrack you can use.Condition Notes: the long roll of cloth is worn and much of the the gold has come off. You\'ll need to replace this with a gold fabric strip you can easily obtain. The finger-flasher is missing- so you\'ll need to buy a flasher if you want to do the flash-cotton fire burst. The coin dropper is missing, but you only need to palm the stack of plastic gold coins for the effect. The pop-up gold nuggets are cardboard and the rubber bands need to be replaced because of age. All items are worn from use, so you may want to replace with similar items from a floral department in a crafts store and spray paint them gold. Brackets in the book have a little rust, and you can replace these. This is a great magic trick which it ready for your re-building and loving care. I have priced this accordingly.The original VHS tape is missing, and THEREFORE- I will also include the backing track to be played along with the routine, and I\'ll include on USB drive the files of the video of Barry explaining the trick, as well as performing the trick as well.
