Antique etchingfolio print on paperdating to circa 1847. Condition is good for a print of this age with image being slightly "soiled", which I believe is from ink. . Printing process is a stipple copper plate engraving.Blank margins are approximately as shown and print is full plate. Print is from an old incomplete art book. Overall size is approximately 5.5 inches by 8.75 inches with image size being approximately3.75 inches by4.5 inches. Image size was measured on the portrait only.Blank on the back.
Print reads " George Lord Lansdown, from an Original Picture in the Collection of the Right Honorable Lord Carteret. Publish'd 14 July 1798 by S. Harding, 127 Pall Mall & P. Brown, Crown St. Soho" I believe this is an 1847 print from the original plate of 1798
