I have added several research items for your review as provenance. These are NOT included with the sale of this pin.
Fred A. Wright actually had a brother Arthur M., who was also involved with the military functions at the high school. Both are named in the research articles and blurbs. Although Fred was 2 years older, both graduated in the Class of 1885. Both were the sons of Waterman W. Wright, who was a very well known business man in Boston and longtime resident of Ryegate Vermont (please see several clips on him as well).
Some of the research items include: several clips mentioning the brothers, news about the prize drill competitions including the actual 1883 drill (which is the date of the pin), 1880 census listing the Wright family,
father Waterman's obit, his listings in three Boston directories, and the sale for his farm in 1897. Also some family history, and the Class of 1885 newspaper article with list of graduates.
