A fine example of a antique wooden carriage parking brake with stenciled advertising which reads “Robes & Blankets, N.A. Ross, Greensboro VT” on one side, Carriages & Harness, N.A. Ross, Greensboro VT” on the other, and one top reads “The Gem, Mftd by Hanlon-Karper Co, Batavia, NY” with “Pat Appl’d For” on the underside. Dates to the 19th century in very good overall condition, with some alligatoring of the finish, minor imperfections, great patina, and expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: Overall 6” h x 22 ¼” long x ¾” d. A great addition to your antique country decor!
