1976 PRESIDENT GERALD FORD LARGE WHITE HOUSE CHRISTMAS CARD:
$12.99
1976 was an election year. Ford ran for re-election, but was defeated by Democratic opponent, Jimmy Carter, making it his last Christmas in the White House. For their 1976 White House staff Christmas gift prints, the Fords gave reproductions of Ferdinand Richardt’s painting, Philadelphia in 1858. The actual painting, which hung in the Green Room, was purchased by Albert Nesle, friend of White House curator Clme Conger, from an estate sale in Hyberabad, India. The card is about 12 X 18 in size and comes in its original red envelope. The actual card has the Presidential Seal embossed on front. The saying inside the card reads "Wishing You a Joyous Christmas and Happy New Year, The President and Mrs. Ford, 1976".Your positive response is important to us.Good luck in offerding and thank you for looking.
