original vintage sepia tone photograph -- view of the silhouette of a man overlooking downtown Portland and across east Portland to Mount Tabor and in the misty distance, Mount Hood -- circa mid 1910s -- one can read several large signs on the buildings including Meier & Frank; Carlton Hotel; Oregon Hotel and Morgan Atchley [a furniture company associated with the Gayosa Hotel which changed to the Chambelain Hotel by 1917 / and the Carlton opened in 1911] ---- the photo is from Gifford Photographers of Portland, Oregon: likely Benjamin Gifford, though it could be Ralph Gifford who assumed running his father's studio in 1920 --
-- the photo measures 7 1/2 by 9 1/2 in. and is sepia tone printed on board --
--
-- a little warble to the paper / a little nicking to the frame --- Free Local pick-up is an option --
