Brunswick, Maine was incorporated as a town in 1739. This July 14, 1740 deed conveys land along the Stevens River (New Meadows) in Brunswick from Jacob Eaton of "A place Called Topsham"to Anthony Combsof Falmouth. Perhaps the early extant Brunswick deed! Witnessed by David Sargent, Alexander Wilson and Benjamin Larrabee, Justice of the Peace, it was recorded in York by Daniel Moulton in 1744. This Hundred acre lot was the "third lott in Number" in the town. 12.5 by 7.25", good condition with creases, small holes at creases and discoloration. Eaton signed with a wax stamp.
