Beautiful Aaron Willard Massachusetts Shelf Clock Ca. 1800 This shelf (Reproduction clock) was of solid mahogany is 1 of 6 that were made and this being the 5th one in 1967. The 2 individuals that were making these were as authentic copy's down to the last details of an original including the clock movement,pendulum, cast weight and dish dial and hands. Adolph Amend Jr was responsible for making the movement and metal parts and his associate George J. Bizlewicz was responsible for making the case. The reverse, painted tablets were painted by Mrs. Lucille Graff of Monroe, New York . There is a brass plaque mounted on the backboard of the clocks describing the makers of the clocks along with the Artist...This is a Great Collectors clock. This is not a clock constructed of wood veneers, or has Howard # 5 movement.... or any other knock off movement.
