PROVENANCE NOTES: I purchased this Oliver Wendell Holmes autograph from East Coast Book sales in August, 1987. As stated "Terpsichore" is from a disbound Jan. 1844 issue of Graham's. Both are from my personal collection which I started accumulating in the 1970s. Everything in my autograph collection was purchased from reputable sources such as East Coast Book sales, Harris sale Galleries, Remember When Antiquities, Richard J. Cohen, and Donald Dean of Discovery Gide. I also had a running advertisement throughout the 1980s in PCM (Paper Collectors’ Marketplace) through which I obtained a number of these.Nothing in this collection was purchased through or any other online source.
Note also that virtually everything was obtained before “COAs” became popular, so no such ‘certificate’ accompanied these items when I purchased them. I do, however, stand behind any autograph material I offer for sale, which comes with my personal, written, money-back guarantee ensuring your complete satisfaction.
